In The Pit

Over the last 4 years, I've been lucky enough to shoot many local and a few international bands live... There's something that makes a documenting live music special... The images captured are honest, raw and pure... Completely void of any kind of pretence... These are a few of my favourites, for one reason or another...

I shot Caroline from Running With Scissors last night for some promo shots... We went for the whole Dita Von Teese 'Pin-up' girl vibe... Was a really rad shoot... Sweet Deal! Lata...

Enemy Within

So, here's Pestroy... I was asked to shoot some portraits for their 3rd album 'Enemy Within'... Great Album, great guys.. Always cool to work with them and the first band I ever shot while I was back at tech... Metal.

'Snaps'

Sometimes it's nice to leave the comfort zone of flash and softbox land and venture into the unknown! I decided to shoot a few and make them as 'bad' as possible, a fine line exists however between 'bad' that is actually 'good' and just plain shit! You decide, I still can't! Possibly just plain shit!

Here are a few from the Simphiwe Dana Album shoot... I shot at the new University of Johannesburg Art, Design and Architecture campus... And we didn't pay the helicopter pilot! Lata...

Skwatta Kamp

I shot Skwatta Kamp a couple months back... Here are a few of the final ones, thought I'd wait until the cd was released before posting... It was a rad shoot... The hardest part was getting the dry ice, thanks to the solitary ice-cream man on Barry Hertzog early on a Sunday morning!
